Effective January 2, Arkansas drivers can take part in two new voluntary programs designed to make traffic stops safer and less stressful for people with mental illness or autism.

The Texarkana Regional Arts and Humanities Council African American Committee will host its 26th annual African American Voice program on Friday, January 16, 2026.

Westside Church of Christ will host a drive-through food distribution on Saturday, January 17, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., or until supplies run out.
