A Texarkana, Texas woman is facing forgery charges after police say she returned to the same credit union where she had allegedly cashed forged checks just hours earlier.
A Texarkana, Texas woman is facing forgery charges after police say she returned to the same credit union where she had allegedly cashed forged checks just hours earlier.
According to the Texarkana Texas Police Department, 39-year-old Heather Owen is accused of cashing forged checks at a local credit union and at one of its Texarkana, Arkansas locations. After taking the initial report, Officer Alan Bailey asked employees to call 911 if Owen came back.
A few hours later, Owen returned and pulled into the drive-thru. Officer Bailey arrived while she was still waiting and arrested her for forgery. Police say additional checks were found in her vehicle and are now part of the ongoing investigation.
Owen was booked into the Bi-State Jail, later posted a $10,000 bond, and was released Saturday.
