Drivers in Texarkana should prepare for delays as the Texas Department of Transportation will close both westbound lanes of Interstate 30 on Thursday, April 23, and Friday, April 24.
Closures are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day while contractor crews set beams for the reconstruction of a railroad bridge as part of the I-30 widening project.
During the closure, westbound traffic will exit at Summerhill Road at Exit 222, travel the frontage road, and re-enter I-30 east of Kings Highway.
TxDOT says work times could change due to weather or unforeseen conditions. Drivers can check traffic updates at DriveTexas.org.
