Three juveniles are facing charges after a theft investigation at Central Mall led officers to connect two of them to an earlier burglary.
According to the Texarkana Texas Police Department, store security detained a 12-year-old boy, a 14-year-old boy, and a 14-year-old girl after they were caught hiding clothing and cologne inside a backpack.
During the investigation, officers recognized the two boys as suspects in a convenience store burglary on Summerhill Road earlier that morning. Police say the boys were still wearing the same clothes seen in surveillance video, and stolen vaping products were recovered from the backpack.
All three were charged with theft, while the two boys also face burglary charges.
