Texas A&M University-Texarkana has named Tyler Parker as the next head coach of the Eagles men's basketball team.
Parker joins TAMUT after spending the past three seasons as Director of Player Development and Recruiting at Ole Miss. He also held coaching and basketball operations positions at South Alabama, Nicholls State, Shorter University, and Faulkner University, where he played his collegiate basketball career.
Parker takes over the program as the university prepares to transition from the NAIA to NCAA Division II and join the Lone Star Conference next fall.
Parker says he is honored to lead the program during this historic transition and is eager to begin building the Eagles' future.
