A Texarkana man will spend the rest of his life in prison after being convicted in a deadly 2024 shooting.
A Miller County jury found Kahim Webster guilty Monday of first-degree murder and 10 counts of committing a terroristic act. He was sentenced to 40 years for the murder charge and 20 years for each terroristic act count, with the sentences running consecutively for a total of 240 years in prison.
The shooting happened October 22, 2024, in the parking lot of the River Run Apartments on East 35th Street. A teenager was killed in the incident. Webster was arrested about a month later.
The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department praised investigators, prosecutors, and jurors for their work in securing the conviction and bringing justice to the victim and the victim’s family.
