A Texarkana man is facing felony charges after allegedly hitting a bicyclist while intoxicated. Authorities say 33-year-old Sean Michael Wilkinson struck a 41-year-old man on June 16 at Leopard and Urban Drive, then left the scene. The victim was found unresponsive with a head injury.
Wilkinson reportedly returned about 10 minutes later in a damaged pickup. Police noted he smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech, and a beer can was visible in the truck. He's charged with intoxication assault and failure to stop and render aid.
Wilkinson is being held in Bowie County on $150,000 bond.
