TexAmericas Center has added two new locomotives to expand on-site rail service at its industrial park.
Officials say the engines will improve switching, staging, and safety across the campus, giving tenants faster and more reliable shipping.
The locomotives are part of a $3.15 million investment supported by a state grant from the Texas Military Preparedness Commission.
Leaders say the upgrade will reduce bottlenecks, cut shipping costs, and strengthen the Texarkana logistics hub, including support for Red River Army Depot.
The units were also upgraded for lower emissions and better efficiency as part of the project.
