Police have arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection with a fatal shooting that followed an alleged vehicle break-in in Texarkana.
The incident happened last week in the 6100 block of North Park Road. Police say a homeowner confronted two teens who were allegedly trying to break into a vehicle. During that confrontation, one suspect, a 15-year-old, was shot and later died at a local hospital.
The second suspect fled but was arrested Friday. Police say the investigation is ongoing and Texas’ Castle Doctrine may apply, though it has legal limits.
