According to the Texarkana Texas Police Department, an officer spotted a car on South Lake Drive that had been reported stolen out of Texarkana, Arkansas several days earlier. When the officer attempted a traffic stop, the driver sped away.
The suspect drove at high speeds, even passing vehicles on the shoulder, before exiting onto West 7th Street. The pursuit ended when the driver struck a curb while turning onto Kilgore Street, blowing out two tires.
The driver, 19-year-old Logan Page, then stopped and surrendered. He was arrested and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Evading Detention.
Police say Page also had three outstanding misdemeanor warrants, including theft of property and two traffic violations. He was booked into the Bi-State Jail.
