Nineteen-year-old Phajae Moore was picked up in Houston on a bond-forfeiture warrant over the weekend. He was brought back to Bowie County Wednesday, where Detective Casey Schmidt served him with new warrants for Murder and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. His bond is still pending.
Also Wednesday, 24-year-old Benjamin Brem was returned from Houston to the Bi-State Jail. He faces the same murder and assault charges, plus Robbery for an ATM holdup in Wake Village days before his arrest. Brem’s bond is set at $1.68 million.
Police credit Detective Schmidt and fellow officers for the “countless hours” spent advancing the case.
