Scammers are sending fake hotel confirmation emails that claim you must confirm a reservation within 24 hours to avoid cancellation. The email includes a link that leads to a fake website asking for credit card information. Police say legitimate travel companies do not request payment details through confirmation emails.

Travelers are urged to verify reservations directly on official websites or apps.
