Texarkana, Texas Police arrested 29-year-old Hilda Xona Cojoc on Sunday for Abandoning or Endangering a Child after her two young sons were left home alone and their house caught fire.
Texarkana, Texas Police arrested 29-year-old Hilda Xona Cojoc on Sunday for Abandoning or Endangering a Child after her two young sons were left home alone and their house caught fire.
Officers responded to the blaze around 12:50 p.m. on Walnut Street, where flames were coming from the roof. A neighbor had already rescued the 7- and 10-year-old boys.
Police say Cojoc left them alone around 8 a.m. to go to work — about five hours before the fire started. She was arrested at the scene and booked into the Bi-State Jail on a $150,000 bond. The children are now in CPS custody.
