An East Texas organization that supports foster children and families has opened a new office in Texarkana. 4Kids4Families, which took over foster care case management from the state last year, now oversees services for more than 1,200 children across 24 counties, including Bowie and Cass.
The new office on Christus Drive features workspace for caseworkers and special visitation rooms where children can meet with their biological parents. Leaders say the new location will provide stability and better support for families throughout the foster care process.
The agency is also asking for community donations of books and toys for the visitation rooms. More information is available at 4kids4families.org.
