
A former pharmacist at College Hill Pharmacy in Texarkana, Arkansas, has pleaded guilty to stealing thousands of narcotic pills over the span of a year.
A former pharmacist at College Hill Pharmacy in Texarkana, Arkansas, has pleaded guilty to stealing thousands of narcotic pills over the span of a year.
According to federal court documents, Jason Chambless admitted to using another pharmacist’s login to alter records and conceal the theft of over 1,500 methadone pills, along with large amounts of Xanax, Dilaudid, Oxycodone, and other controlled substances. The thefts occurred between April 2023 and April 2024.
Chambless told the court he used the drugs for personal use. He was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond and could face up to four years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine.
His pharmacy license is currently suspended. Sentencing will be held at a later date.
