Main Street Texarkana has postponed this year’s Christmas Parade, originally set for Monday, because of expected cold temperatures and rain. Organizers say the decision was made to keep parade participants and the large crowds along the route safe.
The parade, a major holiday tradition featuring floats and marching groups from across the region, will now take place on Monday, December 15 at 7 p.m.
Main Street Texarkana thanked the community for its understanding and encouraged everyone to stay warm and safe as the weather system moves in.
