A major aviation company is bringing new jobs to the Texarkana area.

Dean Baldwin Painting announced plans to open a new aircraft painting facility at Texarkana Regional Airport. The project is expected to create between 150 and 160 jobs.

The announcement was made during the MRO Americas 2026. The new facility will include four paint bays — one large enough to handle widebody aircraft like a Boeing 747-8 and three designed for smaller aircraft such as the Lockheed C-130 Hercules.

Company officials say the new location will be built specifically for aircraft painting and will help improve efficiency and flexibility for customers.

Local leaders credit partnerships between AR-TX Regional Economic Development Inc., Texarkana College, and the cities of Texarkana, Arkansas and Texarkana, Texas for helping secure the project.

Dean Baldwin Painting has been in business for more than 60 years and specializes in aircraft strip and paint services.

A construction timeline has not yet been announced.
