The TAPD and the Bi-State Narcotics Task Force have arrested two men on charges of drug possession.
On Thursday, January 12, members of the task force conducted a search warrant on Anthony Moore’s residence in Texarkana, Arkansas. During the search warrant, investigators located approximately 1.2 pounds of methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia used for weighing and separating narcotics. Moore was arrested for Trafficking Methamphetamine and three deliveries of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
Officers conducted a traffic stop related to the investigation by the task force and the passenger in the vehicle admitted to possibly having a small amount of marijuana on his person. Officers further interviewed and identified the passenger, 54-year-old Andy McGough, from De Queen, Arkansas. McGough later admitted to having more than marijuana and told officers he wanted “to be honest with them” because he had a ball of meth under the passenger seat of the vehicle.
Officers located a plastic bag under the seat containing a ball of suspected methamphetamine. The ball weighed 57.2 grams. McGough was arrested for possession of controlled substance-methamphetamine and transported to the Miller County Jail awaiting bail hearing. The driver was released with no charges.
