Trio lands manster alligator on Sulphur River

A twelve-and-a-half-foot alligator was pulled from the Sulphur River by three young hunters near Fouke.

Jagger East, Carson Baumgardner, and Gil Elam landed the monster over the weekend.  The reptile is estimated to weigh between 850 and 900 pounds and appears to be between 40 and 50 years old.  East plans to have the hide mounted and use the meat for a cookout.
