AEP SWEPCO has announced a planned power outage this Thursday morning for Larry and Sidney Drives off Moores Lane.
Line workers will be working on the electrical facilities in the neighborhood in order to improve the reliability of electrical service. The power should be off from 8 a.m. until around noon.

Hope Pubilc Schools seek millage increase, could be the first increase in 35 years
The Hope Public Schools have announced they are seeking a millage increase of 12 mills in an election set for August 8th. The Hope Millage is currently 34.7 mills which is one of the lowest rates in the area. Currently, Hope is 200th out of 225 districts statewide in the number of assessed mills.
